I have been working in behavioral health for almost 14 years when I decided to focus on EMDR over 4 years ago. Though other approaches can be helpful, I noticed the limitations of other modalities I had been practicing with. EMDR is a specialized approach to psychotherapy that is considered a successful and evidence-based practice due to the demonstrated and remarkable outcomes achieved in significantly less time compared to the often more lengthy process of traditional talk therapy.
